Here’s my journal entry from December 2023 (right before I put my DC home on the market):
How does 2024 make you feel?

✍🏽 I feel so settled in my new home, my new rhythms, communities, my ENTIRE LIFE.

I am in awe and constantly humbled with gratitude. I am at ease and experience reverence daily. I am grateful for everything that has led me to this.

Thank you for taking the steps to make this happen. THIS is where you belong: dreaming, playing, and creating on the daily.

Your heart and soul have been yearning for a change.

I am at peace, fulfilled with my life, my partner, and Zion by my side.

Life feels so right and equanimous here.

My nervous system is settled, at peace.

My practice is solid and inspires me and fills me with gratitude to live in this body, as this woman.

I am in awe of the strength, devotion, and skill sets of my mentors, coaches, students and, FUCK! I love the heat, the food, the music, the athleticism, and masculinity in this culture. I love being able to speak Spanish every single day. My body and spirit thrive in this humid subtropical climate.

As you may have guessed,
I sold my DC home.

The day I left my apartment for the holidays, I got a hit that it would sell much more quickly than anticipated. I sat in my living room, the space where I became an online yoga teacher, my sanctuary during lockdown, the place that only those closest to my heart ever got to see in real life. I would buy this place 1000 times over and over again. It is my home, my retreat space, the place Zion and I established a securely attached bond. This is where I became a much stronger, embodied, and compassionate version of myself.

The night my place went on the market, I dreamt that someone put a higher- than- selling price offer on my place. In less than 24 hours, I had a full price offer with an extra $10k bonus to move out by January 26.
I accepted.
All contracts have been signed, ratified, notarized, approved.
It is done.
