There is no right way
There is no right way
to breathe
To practice
It’s more about
How flexible can you be
to meet the needs being asked of you
In this present moment
To approach someone
To say no
To sit with yourself
To know when you’ve had enough
Our breathing
And practice
should be allowed to be spontaneous in order to be with these activities
There can be this misunderstanding
Where the “goal” is to regulate
And to practice means to be calm
and grounded in all scenarios
But that’s not how it works for me
For me
It’s about building the capacity to have more presence and self awareness with whatever comes my way
And what kinds of emotions, energies, and situations present themselves
I’m learning and teaching
to be flexible enough and
Tone my diaphragm enough
to meet all kinds of scenarios
It’s about the relationship with our breath
Our energies
Our bodies
Our people
Cultivating this relationship helps us understand
When we have the capacity to understand
We become safer people to be around
I think people care
